Engineers Without Borders – Macedonia (EWB Macedonia) is non-governmental and non-for-profit civil association, established to improve the quality of life in the Macedonian communities through identification, development and implementation of sustainable infrastructural and environmentally sound projects supported by the communities.

The activities of the EWB Macedonia are based on the principals of freedom of engineers to become associated. EWB Macedonia is independent association which is part of the international network of Engineers without Borders.

EWB Macedonia, along with its partner associations worldwide will contribute to achieve the United Nation Millennium Development Goals and to endorse the Earth Charter. That will be accomplished through capacity building of the communities, which is defined as "... the building (or strengthening) of human, institutional and infrastructure capacity to help societies develop secure, stabile and sustainable economies, governments and other institutions through mentoring, training, education, physical projects, the infusion of financial and other resources, and most important, the motivation and inspiration of people to improve their lives" (Hatch, 2004).
